I went to Zouk for this OK! Magazine event. It was supposed to start at 7.30pm but some divalicious celebrities love Malaysia so much that they implied the Malaysian life in their lifestyle. I am a Malaysian but I can call myself rather punctual because I am normally on time in everything. Unless the person who drives me to the event is late. Then I have no choice but to be late.
Anyhow, talking about the event..
I never been to Zouk. I was really excited and all because I heard it was an awesome club. Guess what? My expectation downgraded after I stepped into the bloody club. It is small and stuffy. It's so freaking small for a well known club. It's not the club anyway. I went there for the event kan? I was hoping that it will start on time but it didn't. Thanks to some divas. I have no idea who but it seems that there were some VIPs that were LATE. So the rest of us have to wait for them. Like wtf. So what if they are celebrities? Humans also kan? I was really grumpy because I was hungry.
It started 90 minutes late. Never mind. I got the patience. The PA system sucked so much. I have no idea what the host said. Suki from OIAM performed. Cannot hear properly what she sang. What kind of "well known" club that owns sucky PA system? Then, the Management in Zouk or was it OK! Magazine people put up some barriers in front of me. WTF! Why the fuck do they put up barriers in front of those audiences? As if they would be people wanting to kill those celebrities. Please la..even if those barriers are not up, I bet assassins would manage to pull a trigger one. I seriously don't understand why they need to put those barriers. The space in Zouk is freaking small added with the barriers. It became so much smaller that I can't walk. The bloody bouncer stepped on my foot also never apologize. KNNCCB!
I was so pissed. I left the club early. This bouncer doesn't let me out and direct me to other exit. He was so rude. I was the guest there man. Can't I bloody walk to the exit I wanted to and leave? The event is not that big deal la. Please.. I will never go to such event anymore. Perhaps I would and leave super early if the same thing happens again. When I was walking out towards the exit, I was basically squeezing my way through the crowd. It wasn't helpful when I am invisible in the crowd. Then this ang moh blocked my way. Never mind. I said excuse me and he doesn't even bother moving away to let me pass. I tapped on his hand also he doesn't give a shit.
I was like WTF WTF WTF all the way. I am not being bias or what. I have ang moh friends and they are super nice. But this cibai ang moh is so freaking ignorant. Can't he bloody see me?? I already tap on his hairy hand. Still don't want to let me through? Eurgh!! Luckily, I managed to squeeze my way out because I pushed the bloody ang moh away. I was so pissed that I cursed all the way out. The moral of the story, I fucking hate this event. Someone whom I knew stay till the end commented that it sucks as well. Great! I am so not going to buy OK! Magazine..ok..maybe I would but Zouk! No way I am visiting there again unless I am treated better.
Then, I went to Petaling Street..
It was my first time there. I was never encouraged to go there because there are a lot of pickpockets. That's what people are telling me for years ok? Can't blame if I never visited the place lo..I love this place even though it's stuffy and smelly. HAHAHAHA.. I found Summer dresses at RM20. Freaking cheap lo. Too bad I don't have cash with me. Or else..I would have sapu a few dresses. I am in love with Summer dresses. Then then, those fake bags are so damn nice. Who cares if it's fake? OK OK..I do care but I want a plain feminine bag for outings. I don't have one. I need to find one nice one so I can go out and fling it around. HAHAHAHA..Besides, Petaling Street is a damn nice place for photography. I fell in love with that place. I didn't want to take out my camera that time because I was holding a handbag. It's kinda troublesome. I just love Petaling Street.
My day ended in Murni and SS2 for dinner and supper. I frequent Murni a lot lately. OOhhh.. I found a Lok Lok place in SS2 and it's so good and addictive. At least, my day didn't end so badly. If not, I will be so tulan. So tulan!

Dear Su,
We would like to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused that night. The borders were put up by our team for the protection of both our talents and the audience due to the fact that our performances used weapons with the capacity to cause serious damage if we were not able to control crowd movement.
Nigel will be putting up the video of our performances in a bit and you will be able to check out pics on our official photographer's blog.
On behalf of Hellboy, The Incredible Hulk and Ironman, we at Absolut Pitch would like to again apologize for your night being spoiled.
We are in talks with Nuffnang to do a similar costumed event and we would love to ensure that you get front and center seating so that you can enjoy our performances as per our original intent.
Sincerely,
the I.C.E. team at Absolut Pitch.
Hello Edmund,
Thanks for the comment and apology. I am very sorry if I offended you. I was really annoyed with the management of the event. Hence I wrote a post about the event. I was annoyed with how those management people in Zouk treated me.
Anyway, I am glad that my "complaint" was heard. I really appreciate that you take time to read this "complaint" of mine. Would be looking forward to more of the events organized by your company. Thank you!
Hey again Su :)
All of us here at Absolut Pitch appreciate any and all comment or criticism as it encourages professional growth. No offense taken.
After we did the Nokia S.H. event at BBC a couple of weeks back (You were there as Lindsay Lohan, correct? We were the guys upstairs doing wardrobe and makeup FX), we've had extensive conversations with Tim about how good behind-the-scenes organization always ensures a positive aftermath with participants. As you may have realized, Absolut Pitch had limited control over the staging of the OK! Anniversary Party but we will definitely rectify that in future events.
Working closely with Tim and his team at Nuffnang, our company is slowly yet steadily establishing an online presence to facilitate an immediate response mechanism (such as this posting).
Do note that I have taken note of your particulars and will personally ensure that the next time you attend an event with Absolut Pitch in the mix, you and your friends will be treated in a courteous and professional manner.
Please don't hesitate to call my cell (+60122209901) or that of my associate Gabriel (+60146433401) should you require any clarification about our professional services.
:) Keep on rocking, Su!
Dear Sue,
In replying of your post.
I agree that the room in zouk that night has become smaller compared to the original state it was.
But since you've never been in, it's hard for you to compare i guess.
And another added info, they are still renovating so i guess maybe that's why it seems small.
secondly about the PA system, if you remember correctly, there were two huge backdrops blocking the entire DJ deck and the DJ's were soley relying on their hearing to control the system.
oh and thirdly, about the barriers.
sorry if it offended you so much because I was the one that instructed for the barriers to be there due to the performances that was coming on later in the night as i was afraid PEOPLE in the audience could get injured accidentally, or the stunts that were performed could damage camera's or anything.
So yes, it was me who requested the barries to be there.
Hope the rest of your night ended well.
Cheers,
kellster
Hello Edmund,
Thanks so much for hearing me out. I hope you guys will manage some awesome events in the future. I will definitely attend it. I always enjoy going for Nuffnang event's because they rock. If Nuffnang rocks, means you guys rock as well :)
P/S: I was an epic failed of Lindsay Lohan. :)
Hello Kellster,
I am sorry if my post offended you. I wrote that when my brain was still in angry mode.
Zouk is definitely smaller than what I expected but the thing that I dislike was the people who put up the barriers..they somehow put it on my feet and it was really painful. They never take the courtesy to apologize. Such mannerism and professionalism is something I do not expect from a well known club.
I totally understand about the reason of why the barriers are put because Edmund from Absolut Pitch explained it to me. I really appreciate the comments you guys left. At least I know, my voice has been heard.
Thank you very much !
