Maxwell Food Court, Singapore

I finally did a touristy thing in Singapore after years of visiting Singapore with only intention to shop here and there. I did visit the zoo before which is like aeon years ago before I own a digital camera. I am definitely visiting the zoo and safari the next trip to Singapore soon; hopefully with 20 cents.

Anyway, I went to Maxwell Food Court twice in two days. It's like a huge food court with aplenty of hawker food which was listed in a lot of pamphlets and brochures of its variety of local food. Everytime I am in Singapore, I'll make sure that I will have soursop as dessert or as a drink. Yes, I love soursop that much. Had my tea time dessert with my aunt the other day. Guess what I had? I had Soursop Ice with Jellies. It was yummy!

Went off for lunch there yesterday before some shopping and a movie. Had Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice. I had to line up for chicken rice. A freaking long line for steamed chicken rice; mostly tourists including myself. Anthony Bourdain gave this chicken rice thumbs up. I give it thumbs up too. The chicken is as soft as the ones I usually have in SS2. And the rice smelled really fragrant. Usually, a lot of people have the perception that Singapore food wasn't so nice to eat. Trust me.. it's a wrong perception. Perhaps we have yet to adjust our tastebuds for some of their local food. But it's not much differences from our Malaysian local food.

Look at the line!

The rice was fragrant and tasty

Tried this noodles which I am unsure of the name. It doesn't look appealing but I love it. Hehe. The pictures of the food are all from Maxwell Food Court. For cheap and good food in Singapore, I would definitely recommend Maxwell Food Court. The weather is so hot now that I am craving for some soursop juice.

Yummy!

I can't wait to hang out with the BFF tomorrow. I need a fix of McDonald Fried Chicken Wings. Hehe.
