I have a great long weekend.. well, except for the part I teared like a mad woman when I sent 20 cents off to the bus station. I can't help it! I only see him like once a month and maybe like once every two months when he really, really start going off to the rig. Thinking about it made me even more emotional and it didn't help that I tear easily. I am trying really, really, really (multiply that with another million times) hard to adjust to our long distance relationship. There's pros and cons to it, of course. Con: 20 cents too far away and we only see each other once in awhile. Pro: We spend more quality time together. And he is doing this for our future. It's all about give and take, I guess.
There there.. let's kickstart 2012 with something cheerful! I spent the long weekend with 20 cents. We had Japanese buffet for two and yes, it was hell. We didn't manage to finish off our food and trying to shove that last piece of sashimi down my throat was the worst thing ever. Note to self, no Japanese food for a few months. And I finally bought my mini table and ironing board after months of saying it again and again. (30th of December 2011)
Started off our day with some brunch in PJ Oldtown. And we headed over to Mid Valley for some bubble tea fix. Two rounds of it in both Chatime and Gong Cha. And and and, 20 cents bought Dorothy Perkins' pants for me as Christmas gifts! Thanks love! It was much needed because I need pants in my working clothes' wardrobe. Dinner with his family to celebrate our New Year together. It was a joyous celebration with aplenty of food. Didn't manage to see fireworks though because it was so far away. I saw it on the idiot box though. Haha! (31st of December 2011)
Sunday is church day! I love Sundays because my Sundays are always awesome. After service, we went to Publika (my first time there!) for some get-together with friends. Went to Ben's for lunch (my first time there too!). Had Soft Shell Crab Tortilla and it was oh-so-orgasmic. I love how the sour, coriander sauce complimented the fried soft shell crabs and the baked/fried four colors chips. Yummy! And 20 cents had Char-Grilled Seafood Spaghetti. Nothing much to be shout about but it was decent. What else? Got our Chatime fix AGAIN! And visited B.I.G (Ben's Independent Grocer) and I love this place! It reminded me of Melbourne so much! Gotta love gourmet grocer!
Our lunch!
Desserts!
20 cents fixed the light bulb in my bathroom. Yay! Light after days of bathing in the dark.. and it's creepy to bath in the dark. We headed for dinner in BSC for his Grandma's birthday. Dinner was good. But 20 cents had to go off halfway to catch a bus to go back to his workplace. Sadness all over again but I can do this! I am staying strong for us! (1st of January 2012)
20 cents' Grandma's birthday
Woke up to a hot, sunny day. Online, did laundry and made brunch; a healthy brunch. And here I am blogging my second day of 2012 away.. it's gonna be a great year. It's my year of Much More Surpassing Favors. :)
Healthy brunch to kickstart my 2012!
