SOTD #1

I was uninspired to write last night.

This morning I lost hope and faith in humanity.

It was just a simple task or in this case, a simple technology. But no! It just doesn't work like that. So, this is what happened..

I reloaded my Touch & Go card yesterday morning. And yes, the money was added into the card. Happily I exited the exit. This morning, I checked and the money I added in was gone. Gone. So, I went back to the counter where I reloaded my card. Guess what?

"Ni kena pergi main office kat KL Sentral untuk check summary card."

Really? Really? Your computer can't check my summary? It was your fault and now you're telling me that I have to go all the way to KL Sentral to check the summary on my card. Personally, I think it's a small little task that ANY technology could do. But no.. they upgraded all sorts of "new technology" and make it public on the newspapers on how AWESOME their stuffs are. But no.. a small little thing like this; one has to travel far during office hours to simply just fix the problem of theirs.

It's not the money. It's the service provided that made me lose hope in just so many things. Le sigh! Why not upgrade your customer service instead? What happened to "Customer is always right!"

Savory Bistro,MK10

Had lunch in MK 10 at this bistro called Savory after church. Savory Bistro is located above Ristretto. Thinking that I have to pay a lot; I was rather skeptical about the food. So, I went ahead anyway because fellowship is more important than the food. It's double bonus too if food is good. Was recommended to order the set lunch which was rather economical. A main course with a drink and dessert at RM13++. I ordered Chicken Chop and 20 cents ordered Carbonara Pasta.

Fancy for some sugar?

Ice Lemon Tea that comes with the set lunch

Food was not too bad. The Chicken Chop tasted like Katsu Don and they even cut into smaller pieces for easy eating. I don't have to cut and I am happy. People always laugh at the way I hold my knife and fork. Dang! 20 cent's Carbonara was awesome! It's so creamy but soooooooooo delicious topped up with some ham and bacon. Oh the yummyness! I am craving for some now!!

Carbonara Pasta

Was told by a friend that the food here is quite good. Lunch on weekdays are usually packed so if you are nearby and looking for some economical yet good food, do consider Savory Bistro. I am looking forward to my next visit for some Carbonara.

Pots and Bones Steamboat

This is a long due post since Chinese New Year.

Some university mates of mine gave me a call and asked me out for dinner. Since I got nothing much to do, I said yes and off we went to Pots and Bones. I heard good comments about this place and was advised that the prices are a little bit expensive. It's Chinese New Year so yea.. I guess it's alright to spend a little on food.

We ordered Pepper Pork Soup Broth. Before dinner, I had pepper pork soup for lunch so the gung ho me was thinking..aiya.. can la.. not that spicy what. I was so wrong! I had two sausages on my lips while having dinner. Side dishes prices ranged from RM4.90 onwards. We ordered some noodles, vegetables and some porky stuffs.

Our spread

Yummylicious spread!

Food was great. For the price we paid, we had good quality food. The pork balls were handmade and it was sooooooooo good. Fishballs were smooth and chewy. Love it! The pork slices were orgasmic! It was thin and it sort of melt in your mouth when you put it into your mouth. Awesome pork slices! The condiments are awesome too! The bill totaled up to RM100++ and it wasn't too bad for four persons. But I will not order Pepper Pork Broth next time to avoid the sausages lips again.

And it's cooked!

I will recommend this place for steamboat. The food quality is top notch so it's all finger licking good :)

Pre-Valentine's Day

Ever since 20 cents and myself started this long distance relationship; it's just so hard to spend much time together except for ermm.. texting and Whatsapping daily. Even calling each other is like on certain days because one, we are busy with work and two, the reception for signals in my room sucks balls. Anyway, it doesn't matter. When 20 cents back for long weekends, we made sure we spend enough time together and it's all quality times.

We don't really celebrate the Cupid Day but we do go out for dinner and just chill together for the past four years. But for this year, it's kinda impossible for us to celebrate it because he is away for work and I have to burn midnight oil for a major presentation at work. It's a long weekend this week; not for 20 cents but what the hell..

Spent our weekend together by having dinners with his family. Then, we spent our Saturday noon in Mid Valley by spending our discount vouchers together. I finally redeemed my Burt's Bee lip balm. And also, the youghurt voucher which by the way tasted really awesome. It's definitely worth my money. A better alternative and of course, healthier too as compared to my usual bubble tea fix. We did spend on bubble tea and crispy wrap before dinner.

Our Sno for only RM7.90 with a discount coupon

Went over to fish spa again. I think we are like addicted to it because it's comfortable and we bought it at a cheaper rate. I needed to go for fish spa so badly because of my awesome cracked heels. Need to go for fish spa again! And I don't care about the comments of how I might get diseases transmitted to me through the fishes and what's not. I like it so whatever! It was all ticklish and then, really comfortable having your dead skins bitten off by these little fishy. Tried the bigger fishes and it was as if our toes were bitten off by them but what the heck la.. it was all pure fun.

Ticklish but comfortable

Went down to Seremban for dinner at 20 cents' grandaunt's place. It was always fun and entertaining listening to stories from his aunts and uncles. Of course, it's good to know that I am well accepted into his family too. Reached home at 2am. Slept throughout the night and *cough* day too. We were late to church because yes, me.. overslept. I can't help it. I was really tired. After church, fellowship with some friends in this bistro called Savoury Bistro. Gonna put that in a separate blog as well. Hehe. Spent my entire evening with 20 cents in Snowflakes and just chilling out before he left.

It's gonna be another tormenting month; waiting for him to come back only on long weekends. But whatever it is, I miss him uber a lot!

Enter The Dragon Year

It's the last day of Chinese New Year ! My dragon year has been a fruitful one. I did aplenty this year; meeting up family and friends, spending time with 20 cents and his family. And I did all these in a short span because I had to work on the third day of Chinese New Year. Le sigh! Oh well.. at least, I spent the entire whole week with 20 cents. And it was fun. I am missing him so much already! Sent him to the bus station just now and again, I cried like an idiot. I didn't cry.. more like tearing. It felt like as if my eyes has officially turn into water pipes. Oh well.. now I can only wait till March before I get to see him.

Reunion dinner was a quiet affair. It was just me, Mom, the sisters, Grandma and my uncle. Just seven of us this year because Dad can't come back due to work commitment and my eldest aunt had to work and study. But they are coming back next year ! Had steamboat; Mom made kimchi soup too. After reunion dinner, I hang out with some primary school friends. Ok.. it was just five of us but nonetheless, it was a great gathering with us catching up with each others' lives. I only get to see them once a year so I made sure I go everytime there's a chance for most of us to gather together. Oh yea.. one more thing, Ipoh was as hot as Sahara!!

Shandy and "Dragon Meat" : Best combo ever!

Reunion dinner

Snacks at home; dumplings !

Received some ang pows and yes, there were relatives and parents' friends asking me when I am getting marry. Oh the horror! I personally think I am still very young to be married; besides, I just started working not long ago. Let me build a career first! I hung out with my friends from high school as well. It has been so long since I last saw most of them. It was a good Chinese New Year indeed. And and.. Seong Yoong and I had a great talk when he drove me to the train station.

Spent the rest of the week with 20 cents. Had Yee Sang like four times so far. I love Yee Sang though I am somewhat allergic to some of it. It has peanuts in it. Oh well.. who cares? It's Chinese New Year and I have every right to be eating peanuts contained food. What else did I do? Hung out with some colleagues too. Went over to IKEA for some Spring Chicken which I cannot finish it at all. Ooohh.. and I managed to hang out with some coursemates as well. Went over to Pork and Bones for steamboat. I'll blog of that separately. On FT Day, woke up early and went over to college to collect my book vouchers. Then then, I finally went for a movie after 27482020 years. It has been awhile; Journey 2 was not too bad.
